meme less music.
A meme can be any kind of an idea that is propagated over and over; an idea - or in this case sound that is systemic or viral.
These things catch us and take us away from the now experience, these covert bites of sound info make us revert into pathways already traveled, like a nostalgic ride in order for you establish a relationship with the piece.
I want to say hold on, stop! lets see if there's something here now.

::Peter Newman::

Peter is a musician and time-based artist living in Sydney. He composes highly textural sound-driven audiovisual works for live performance, installation and screening/playback. These works explore the musical qualities of composed sound in a symbiotic relationship with moving image, often in a multi-speaker, multi-screen environment. His music is concerned with drawing a sense of musicality from non-musical sources, such as field recordings and sound captured from video. In a performance context, he utilises a software-based framework for structured improvisation, which he has been developing for several years. He has performed and exhibited widely within Australia for the last four years.

::Aaron Hull::

This was a rare opportunity to see Aaron play live at a 1/4_inch concert. Recently returned from overseas this was the first the artists performance in Sydney in two years.

Taking inspiration from urban environments, machinery and film, Aaron's sound work moves from sublime sonic plateaus to gritty shattered electronic landscapes.

Aaron Hull is a sound and video artist who has recently returned to Australia after an extended period in Europe where he performed in Beijing, Berlin, Paris, Vienna and Ljubljana.

Aaron's latest video installation Bleach was included in the group show Corroded Memories 2.1 in Wollongong. He has two three way splits soon to be released in 2008 with Slovenian artist Matjaz Galicic on Sonic Disorder and French noise gore artist Sgure.
